In August 2017, local photographer Fiona Lockhart and family violence spokesperson Rosie Batty will trek the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory to raise funds for the Luke Batty Foundation. Starting out of Alice Springs, the pair will take six days to walk from Telegraph Station to Mount Sonder, along the way encountering some of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Australia. This exhibition will showcase images captured during their journey, which aims also to give a voice to the women and children in these remote communities, a voice that can be heard through the support of the Luke Batty Foundation.
Fiona Lockhart was born and raised in Ballarat, and now runs her own project management business, Lockhart Project Solutions, in Sydney. She studied photography at Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE and the Australian Centre of Photography in Sydney.
