by Jessica Clark
Tell curator Jessica Clark interviews the artists who are showcased in her exhibition of contemporary, and unbound by convention, collection of photo-media works. The discussion revolves around each individual work, and the importance of Indigenous makers coming together and deploying new photographic technologies to tell their stories and articulate experience. Moreover, Clark speaks about how the works open-up a new line of sight which portrays photography as a multifaceted and innovative outlet of expression for Indigenous artists working today. The talk aims to provoke discussion surrounding existing predispositions of Indigenous art that continues to permeate Australia’s increasingly digitised and intercultural landscape.
