Marie Watts’ exhibition captures the elements of The Penelopiad, a Women’s Circus production. Between June and November 2016, the artist photographed rehearsals for the show at the Footscray Drill Hall, watching on as 30 women of all ages, backgrounds and levels of theatrical experience sang, danced, tumbled, trapezed and developed a cohesive performing unit.

Marie Watt holds a Bachelor of Photography from Melbourne’s Photography Studies College. She has recently exhibited at Big West Festival and the Gold Museum in Ballarat.
