Un-Broken celebrates the vessels that once contained life, aiming to capture their beauty before inevitable decay. The photographs incorporate ice as a preservative and gold to both highlight and heal what has been broken, inspired by the Japanese practice of Kintsugi, which shines a spotlight on imperfections. The result is an exhibition that invites viewers to connect with the fragility and impermanence of objects.
After a long corporate career living in the USA and Asia, Ollie T Cool studied photography in London, graduating with distinction. She enjoys capturing beauty before decay, ice and technical challenges.
“Life is good, especially with a camera in my hands.”
