by Pinarc’s Funky Artists
Pinarc is a disability services provider in Ballarat. Their Funky Arts program offers opportunities for people with disabilities to express their creativity and learn new skills through music and art. The group has collaborated with local photographer Michelle Dunn as part of her With Camera in Hand program to develop skills in photography and create a body of work specifically for the Ballarat International Foto Biennale. Now We Are Photographers! captures these new artists at work.
Pinarc’s Funky Artists gather weekly in a supported studio program. Each member, with their own unique artistic style, strengths and abilities, enjoys developing works in a wide variety of mediums. They hone their skills in mediums of their choice while also exploring and developing skills in new materials and approaches to creating visual art forms.
