A study of light and shadows across a variety of southeastern Australian landscapes, Light on Australia is a series of black and white photographs that focuses on shapes and contours accentuated by light. The result is a collection that evokes the timelessness in the landscapes of this country, lovingly shot by an artist who has specialised in Australian landscape photography for the last five years.
Timon van Asten grew up in the Netherlands and has been photographing the landscapes of southeastern Australia for the last five years. He likes to focus on the immense open spaces as well as on the details they contain, both of which make this continent so unique.
